Jazz fans walked out of Energy Solutions Arena on Monday night after witnessing something they haven’t seen all year, a home loss.
What seemed to be a sure win for the Jazz against the Clippers, holding a 14 point lead in the third quarter, quickly turned into a close game with just minutes to play. Blake Griffin scored 30 points along with 20 from Jamal Crawford off the bench to help the Clippers prevail 101-99.
The home loss was the first for the Jazz since April 4.
The Jazz were lead by Mo Williams and Gordon Hayward, with Williams scoring 20 and Hayward 17.
In the dying moments of the game, Al Jefferson drove in for what seemed to be a game tying layup with 39 seconds remaining, until DeAndre Jordan rejected it, basically destroying all hope for the Jazz.
The loss sinks the Jazz to 9-10 on the season.
